| | Electrical Systems distribute power to wherever
it is needed within your building presenting it through a series of
power distribution boards (PDU's) to allow local isolation for
individual areas, circuits or components. Depending on the design
and requirements, they provide increasing levels of power
availability via the provision of power smoothing and power backup
devices, such as line conditioners, UPS's and Generators.
Each component in an electrical system including the cables themselves, must
be sized and electrically rated based on the anticipated power
loading to be supported by the system. It is therefore imperative
that any design or change is completed by a qualified electrician.
The final choice is to select the load and socket-type to provide to
each IT Racks, this should be coordinated with any rack installation
planning activity.
Use the left hand menu to help you understand how they work (the components)
and the actions/decisions to be made in planning, specification,
installation and operation of electrics. If you still need more
