| Data Centre Structured Cabling- The core of any Data Centre is a structured cabling system, which provides
all of the cabling routes within the room via patch panels located
in each of the Server Racks linked back to the centralised Comms
Racks. It means that adding a network device or a new Server is
merely a case of bolting it in the rack and plugging it in via the
patch panels. In a well designed room, there should never be any
need for adhoc core cabling. Office Structured Cabling- From the Data Centre Comms Racks, cabling routes go out to all of the
office areas, terminating in floor boxes for users to plug into.
These can either go directly to the location or via Comms Racks on
each floor of the building, reducing the overall amount of cabling.
