Generator Sets
For mission-critical Data Centres and Computer Rooms, availability is the key and loss of the facility can mean real financial loss for a company. Unfortunately power failures are a fact of life and can disrupt such rooms for hours or even days at a time. A UPS will get you over a small 10 minute outage but for real protection a standby genrator in combination with the UPS is a must. .
A power failure then becomes a non-event and your room keeps running as if nothing happened. If you want to run a Tier2 or above Data Centre then a Generator is mandatory.

Gensets and Enclosures

The Generator Set includes all of the components required to provide you with standby power from the diesel engine and generator to the transfer load panels (also know as AMF Panels) required to automatically detect the loss of power and switch over to the standby supply. However, you may also require an acoustic enclosure, especially if the unit is to be located outside and particularly if it is to be near residential or office locations. As part of delivering you the solution, END2END will review the intended location and recommend whether an enclosure is required, as well as specifying the potential size of fuel tank you require and sizing the unit for the power loads you need. Each generator is also linked up to any Environmental Monitoring infrastructure to report on its status (including fuel levels).
